MM23 is held on the Eagle River Chain again out of Eagle Waters Resort. Jeff Richardson win MM23 with a 41” Musky caught on Duck Lake. 2nd place goes to Gary Borkowski with a 38.5” Musky and Frank Bell takes 3rd with a 38”. Jesse Sorensen wins a nice globe bait in the casting contest.

We had a great outing with 14 fish caught! There were a lot of great activities Saturday, including a boat baling team building session in the morning after the hurricane blew through the area. Luckily everyone survived and was able to go out and catch more fish.

The door prizes were fun, and we've got $62 from the raffle to prime the pump for the fall tournament. Thanks to all who volunteered their time helping.

Congratulations to Jeff and good luck next fall hosting the fall tournament - MM24!
Musky Pete's Story
Musky Pete’s fishing partner, Jimmy Jessup, must have had too good a time at the bar on Friday night as he wants to sleep in on Saturday morning and get picked up at the dock at 10:00 am. Around 9am the fish are going nuts and Musky Pete catches a 30” and has a couple other follows. He has to head back at 10am to pick up Jimmy.

Picks Jimmy up and heads back out on Eagle Lake. Only out there about 15 minutes when a huge storm comes rolling in. They take off for the dock and just get there when a huge wave comes in over the back of the Ranger and they are off to the fish house for shelter. The Ranger fills up with water and giant pine trees nearby go down. We find out later that a tornado went through only ½ mile away. After the storm passes everyone is down to help Musky Pete bail out his boat. Unbelievable, but the Ranger fires right up even after the batteries and everything else was under water.
